A Big Thank You to the Voices of Black Women Study!
The American Cancer Society is doing something really important! They started a study called "Voices of Black Women" to help Black women fight cancer.
You see, Black women get cancer more often than other women, and they're more likely to die from it. The study wants to figure out why this happens. Is it because of where they live, their family history, or something else?
This study is really important for women like Misha Jones, who fought breast cancer. She knows how important it is to learn more about how cancer affects Black women.
Dr. Tiffanny Carson is leading this study at Moffitt Cancer Center. They're asking 100,000 Black women to join the study so they can learn more about cancer and help Black women get better.
This study is giving Black women a voice. It's letting them share their stories and help find ways to fight cancer. It's working to make sure everyone has a chance to get better.
Let's cheer for the Voices of Black Women study! They're making a big difference in the fight against cancer.
